DRINKS
DON’T DRINK THE WATER
! The water in Vietnam is not potable. Most hotels offer a couple complimentary bottles of water for your use (brushing your teeth) and consumption, per day.  Additional bottles can be purchased, but get them from a store out of the hotel to save money.

Western soft drinks (Coca Cola, Pepsi) are available everywhere, but are bottled in Asia and have a slightly different taste.

There are lots of beer choices and it is widely available. So are other alcoholic beverages. Ice is not a good idea though, unless you know the hotel or restaurant has a filtering system on site.

Coffee and tea are everywhere and should be sampled at the very least. In Vietnam, the mountains around Da Lat are the coffee and tea growing region. There are many flavorful varieties of both drinks.
