When planning domestic flights in Vietnam, schedule flexibility and patience is an asset.  Departure/Airport taxes are subject to change without notice.

TRANSPORTATION

Passengers traveling on a Universal Tours air and land package already have their land transfers included as stipulated in the specific tour. Additional or side trips outside of the set itinerary can be arranged by us prior to departure or negotiated with your guide.

For passengers traveling independently within Vietnam, Universal Tours can arrange ground transfers with our associates in Vietnam. Passengers looking to “go it alone” can travel by bus, taxi, train, or pedicab. Scooters and bikes are also available for rent in most major cities. A Universal Tours agent can give you guidelines on costs and schedules.

A caution about traveling by pedicab (Rickshaw type bicycles operated by locals): While most pedicab drivers are honest and hardworking, an unsuspecting tourist can be easily taken advantage of by unscrupulous pedicab drivers. It is always a good idea to have your hotel or your guide hail you a pedicab, as they are familiar with the local drivers. They will even negotiate your fare in advance based on your journey. Should you want to stop and have lunch or do some shopping, your pedicab driver will wait for you. Just give them a time and place to meet and don’t forget to slip the driver something extra above the fare. (15,000-20,000d)
