You should leave a copy of your itinerary with your family. It will have the City and Hotel you are staying in. You can also give them our contact information here at Universal Tours and we will make assist them with contacting you. back

Q: Should I check in with the US Consulate or Embassy in the country I am visiting?
It is recommended, but not required. Upon with in your first few days in a foreign country simply call the local Embassy or Consulate (numbers and addresses will be in your package) and let them know that an American citizen is in the country. They may ask for a copy of your itinerary. Just incase of an emergency in the country the will have

We suggest a hotmail or yahoo email account. It is the easiest and cheapest way to communicate with us when you are out of the country. You can also call us or fax us. You might consider purchasing phone cards. They are widely available. back
Q: Does my medical insurance cover me on my trip?
You’ll want to check your policy limitation with your insurance company. back
Q: I have lost my passport/cash, etc. What do I do?
First, it is always a good idea to make copies of your passport and tourist visa. Keep one copy with you on your person, not with your passport. Keep a copy in your luggage back at the hotel. back
If you are on a guided tour notify your guide immediately. You should notify the local authorities and the Embassy or Consulate. back
